Tommy Clifton Smith

Tommy Clifton Smith, age 68, of Slidell, Louisiana,

died Friday, November 6, 2009

at Tulane Medical Center in New Orleans.

Visitation will be Tuesday, November 10^th from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m.

at Picayune Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held

Wednesday, November 11^th, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at

Picayune Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Donnie Boutwell officiating.

Burial will follow at Memorial Gardens Cemetery and Mausoleum.

Tommy was born in Lincoln County, Mississippi and had lived

in Slidell, Louisiana for the past six years moving from Brookhaven, Mississippi.

He was an Army Veteran having served in Vietnam

and a member of the American Legion and VFW.

He is survived by three sons: Brian Minto of LaCombe, Louisiana

Keith Chavers of Slidell, Louisiana and Jonathan Chavers of Picayune

two brothers: Donald Smith of Natchez, Mississippi and

Harold Smith of Ellisville, Mississippi

one sister: Flora M. Walker of Picayune, Mississippi

five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Tommy was preceded in death by his parents:

Elmer and Annie Lou Smith

his wife Dot Smith,

six brothers and two sisters.
