E. J. Landry

March 30, 1926 – January 6, 2009

E. J. Landry, age 82, of Carriere passed away

Tuesday, January 6, 2009 at his residence.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 8th

at 12:00 noon at Picayune Funeral Home Chapel

with Bro. Glenn Kennedy officiating.

Burial will follow at Carriere Cemetery,

under the direction of Picayune Funeral Home.

Visitation will be Thursday, January 8th at

Picayune Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.

E. J. owned a sod company and was a

member of First Baptist Church of Ozona.

He served in World War II and the Korean War

in the Navy, Air Force, Army and National Guard.

He is survived by

his wife, Cathryn Landry of Carriere;

daughter, Kathy Ritchie of Ozona;

brothers, Douglas Landry and

Grady Landry, both of Ozona;

sister, Emma Smith of Carriere;

two grandchildren, Shane Ritchie and

Joseph Ritchie; and

five great-grandchildren, Brandon Ritchie,

Michael Ritchie, Eric Zanco,

Kaitlyn Ritchie and Abigail Ritchie.

He is preceded in death by

his parents, Eddie and Rosie Landry.
