Minnie Lou Davis

December 11, 1925 – February 4, 2009

Minnie Lou Davis, age 83, of Picayune passed away

Wednesday, February 4, 2009 at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg.

Funeral services will be held Friday, February 6th at 2:00 p.m.

at Old Palestine Baptist Church, with Bro. Gary Sumrall officiating,

assisted by Bro. Tommy Hudnall.

Burial will follow at Old Palestine Cemetery,

under the direction of Picayune Funeral Home.

Visitation will be held Thursday, February 5th at

Picayune Funeral Home from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.

Mrs. Davis was a housewife and a

member of Old Palestine Baptist Church.

She is survived by

her daughters, Regina Byrd of Picayune and

Gwendolyn Sumrall of Carriere;

brother, Ivy Dean Walters of Baton Rouge, LA;

sisters, Tressie Johnson of Moselle, MS and

Ina B. Bosenberg of Ellisville, MS;

six grandchildren and

five great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by

her parents, Sidney Walters and

Ollie Stennett Walters;

husband, Reginald Luther Davis;

son, William Sidney Davis;

brother, Lavell Walters; and

sisters, Alene Strickland and

Louise Haynes.
