Carl Guthrie Cantrell

April 13, 1933-May 29, 2009

Carl Guthrie Cantrell passed away Friday evening,

May 29^th, 2009 at his home in Picayune.

Mr. Cantrell was born April 13, 1933

in Norfork, Virginia.

He was a veteran who served aboard a Navy destroyer

in the U.S. Navy honoring his country in the Korean Conflict.

Mr. Cantrell married Ursula Soniat on November 25, 1956,

they were blessed with 56 years of marriage

and five children.

He is preceded in death by:

his parents Walter & Edna Cantrell,

one brother Cree Cantrell

his wife Ursula Soniat Cantrell.

He is survived by

five children:

Carla Cantrell of Charleston, South Carolina;

Joseph Cantrell of Picayune;

Carolyn Martin (Ron) of LaCombe, Louisiana;

Renee Lumpkin (Kelly) of Walker, Louisiana; and

Michelle Jarrell (Jake) of Picayune;

five granddaughters:

Kelli, Heather, Brittany, Ashley, and Danielle;

two great-grandchildren: Alexis and Colton;

and numerous loving family members and friends.

Funeral Services will be Tuesday, June 2^nd at 1:00 p.m.

at Picayune Funeral Home Chapel

with Bro. Cedric Lumpkin officiating.

Visitation will be Tuesday, June 2^nd

from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. at Picayune Funeral Home.

Burial will be at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Slidell, LA
