Dalma Cecil “D.C.” Breland, Jr., age 64, of Carriere passed

away Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at his residence.

Memorial services will be held Friday, July 3rd at 2:30 p.m.

at Trinity United Methodist Church in Picayune.

Visitation will be held at the church from 1:30 p.m. until time of service.

D. C., Jr. was a member of the American Legion Post 193

in Buras, LA, the VFW and the Picayune Police Senior Patrol.

He was a former resident of Plaquemines Parish and

worked for Chevron Pipeline for thirty years.

He is survived by

his wife, Mary Steele Breland

his parents, Joretta and D.C. Breland, Sr.

brother, Cary S. Breland

two daughters, Kris (Zo) Lasseigne of Carriere

Kaci (Steven) Portier of Houma, LA

four grandchildren, Stephanie (Brandon) Lenoir

Sunnie Blanchard fiance’ of Chris Kennedy

three step-grandchildren, Trey Lasseigne

his much-loved dog, Sam Beaux Breland.

He is preceded in death by

his granddaughter, Elizabeth Marie Portier.
