Madie L. Temple

June 30, 1931 – February 24, 2008

Madie L. Temple, age 76, of Picayune passed away

Sunday, February 24, 2008 at Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupleo, MS.

The funeral service will be held Wednesday, February 27th at 2:00 PM

at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Wayne Rice officiating.

Burial will follow at Coaltown Cemetery in Purvis, MS,

under the direction of Picayune Funeral Home.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, February 27th from 1:00 to 2:00 PM

at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church.

Madie, a native of Laurel, MS, moved to Picayune

from Hattiesburg fifty years ago. She was a homemaker and

an active member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church.

She is survived by

her husband, Decator B. Temple of Picayune;

two daughters, Linda T. (Mickey) Mize of Hamilton, MS and

Judy D. Temple of Ellisville, MS;

son, John D. (Sherry) Temple of Picayune;

one sister, Sherrill Negri of Metairie, LA;

two brothers, W. B. “Buddy” Bailey of Hattiesburg and

Randy Bailey of Sargent, TX; and

two grandchildren, Allison L. Mize of Hamilton, MS and

Dana T. Shoemake of Picayune.

She is preceded in death by

her father, Willie Clarence Bailey;

mother, Annie Mae Potter;

step-father, Clarence Potter;

sister, Helen Ruth Moore; and

brother, Bill Bailey.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the ALS Association.
