Barbara J. Spiers

September 30, 1932 – August 8, 2008

Barbara Spiers, age 75, of Carriere, passed away

Friday August 8, 2008 at her residence.

Her funeral service will be Monday, August 11^th

at 10:00 a.m. at Central Baptist Church in McNeill

with Rev. Raymond Jeffcoat & Bro. Billy Galloway officiating.

Burial will follow at McNeill Cemetery in McNeill

Visitation will be held Sunday, August 10, 2008

from 6:00 to 9:00 PM at Picayune Funeral Home.

Barbara and her husband owned

Tommy’s Grill Restaurant in Houma, Louisiana.

She was an active member of Central Baptist Church of McNeill,

Purple Pearls Red Hats Society,

and McNeill Cemetery Committee.

She is survived by:

one son. Tommy Craig Spiers of Houma, Louisiana;

one daughter, Jerri Spiers of Atlanta, GA;

one brother, Jerry Spiers of Picayune;

two sisters, Brenda Stockstill of Picayune

Linda Harberson, of Carriere;

two grandchildren, Eric Spiers and Dustin Spiers;

three great-grandchildren, Anthony Craig Spiers, Angelica Marie Spiers, and Ravyn Spiers

She is preceded in death by her husband, Tommy Spiers.

Barbara worked many visitations at Picayune Funeral Home

where she loved greeting people, many of which she knew.

Everyone at Picayune Funeral Home loved her and she will be greatly missed.
