George Henry Roy, Sr.

February 20, 1931 – June 23, 2008

George Henry Roy, Sr., age 77, of Picayune passed away Monday, June 23, 2008

at Slidell Memorial Hospital in Slidell, LA.

Memorial services will be held Friday, June 27th at 10:00 a.m.

at Picayune Funeral Home Chapel,

with Bro. Danny Johnson officiating.

Visitation will be Friday, June 27th from 9 a.m. until time of service.

Burial will follow in Cypress Grove Cemetery, New Orleans, LA.

George, a former resident of Kenner, LA, has been a

resident here for 34 years. He was a supervisor at Entergy,

a U.S. Army Veteran and a Catholic.

He is survived by

his wife, Joan Roy of Picayune;

two sons, George H. Roy, Jr. of Baton Rouge, LA and

Steven M. Roy of Lafayette, LA;

daughter, Catherine Roy of Picayune;

brother, Gerald James Roy of Slidell, LA; and

sister, Mary Elizabeth Talbot of Anderson, CA.

He is preceded in death by

his brother, Abraham Roy, Jr.
