Elora “May” Buras Lamare

November 29, 1913 – November 11, 2008

Elora “May” Buras Lamare, age 94, of Picayune, passed away

Tuesday, November 11, 2008, at her residence.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to a Memorial Mass

on Friday, November 14th at 11:00 a.m. at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church,

with Father Michael Snyder officiating.

Burial will be in the McDonald Cemetery in Gretna, LA at a later date.

Mrs. Lamare, a former resident of New Orleans, LA, moved to Picayune

three years ago and was a Catholic.

She is survived by

her daughter, Ann (George) Huggins of Picayune;

grandchildren, Allen Loze and April Loze, both of Picayune;

great-grandchildren, Caitlin Loze, Erika Loze,

Steven Williams, and Aaron Loze; and

many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by

her parents, Felix and Susan Johnson Buras;

husband, Allen J. Lamare;

granddaughter, Deborah Williams;

great-grandchild, Madison Williams;

brothers, Felix Buras, Herbert Buras,

Raymond Buras, and Earl Buras;

sister, Ethel Buras Troxlier;

twin sister, Claire Buras Schetlar; and

nephew, Derrick Turner.
