Adelena B. Gelpi

June 6, 1907 – December 26, 2008

Adelena Gelpi, age 101, of Picayune passed away

Friday, December 26, 2008 at her residence.

A funeral mass will be held Tuesday, December 30th

at 11:00 a.m. at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church,

with Father Michael Snyder officiating.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, December 30th

from 10:00 a.m. until time of service

at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church.

Burial will be at St. Vincent de Paul Cemetery

in New Orleans, LA, under the direction of Picayune Funeral Home.

Mrs. Gelpi, a former resident of New Orleans, LA,

was a homemaker and a member of

St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church.

She is survived by

her daughter, Muriel Fay Gelpi Gasper of Picayune;

sisters, Rita B. Gelpi of Arabi, LA and

Odella B. Gaubert of Marrero, LA;

six grandchildren;

eight great-grandchildren; and

three great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by

her husband, Oscar J. Gelpi;

son, Gerald James Gelpi;

brothers, Howard Belsom and

Harold Belsom and

sister, Iona B. Metz.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made

to St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church

and St. Vincent de Paul Society.
