Vernon
B. “Buzzy” Prestenbach, Jr., age 70, of Carriere died
Wednesday, June 27, 2007 at
his residence.
The
funeral service will be Tuesday, July 3rd, at 11 AM at Picayune
Funeral
Home Chapel, with Bro. Allen Hickman officiating at the service.
Visitation
will be Tuesday, July 3rd from 10 AM until time of services.
Burial
will be at
under the direction of Picayune
Funeral Home.
Buzzy, a native of
a U.S. Navy veteran in the
Korean War and a Catholic.
He
is survived by
two daughters, Becki (Mark) Williams of Carriere and Paula Prestenbach of Picayune;
two step-sons, Emile Mistretta and Mark Mistretta, both of Carriere;
step-daughter, Cassie Briggs of Carriere;
nine grandchildren, Crystal Cervantes, Lacey Dovin, Heather Meyer,
Mark
Williams, II, Jordyn Frierson, Maranda Frierson,
Trey
Mistretta, Mikey Mistretta and Emilee Mistretta;
seven great-grandchildren, Michelle Cervantes, Kenneth
Cervantes,
Brooke
Meyer, Lexis Cervantes, Noah Meyer,
Luca
Cervantes and Ethan Williams;
two godchildren, Amanda Rose Mallet and Jay Hollaway;
six nephews, James D. Hollaway, Jr., John D. Hollaway, Jeffrey D. Hollaway,
Ronald
Joseph Prestenbach, Ronald
R. Prestenbach and Wallace
L. Hazelwood; and
two nieces, Nancy L. Miller and Susan L.
Ohler.
He
is preceded in death by
his father, Vernon B. Prestenbach, Sr.;
mother, Maude Dugas Prestenbach;
brother, Ronald Joseph Prestenbach,
Sr.;
two sisters, Mary Gertrude Hollaway and Betty Ann Luttmann;
nephew, Joseph D. Holloway and
niece, Brenda Prestenbach.
