Henry Kenyon “H.K.” Lewis

June 30, 1948 – December 11, 2007

 

Herbert Kenyon “H.K.” Lewis, age 59, of Carriere passed away

 Tuesday, December 11, 2007 at Highland Community Hospital.

 

His funeral service will be held on Friday, December 14th at 3:00 PM

at George Ford Baptist Church with Bro. Donnie Broom officiating,

assisted by Bro. Billy Barber. 

 

Visitation will be Thursday, December 13th from 6-9 PM

at Picayune Funeral Home. 

 

Burial will be at Lee’s Chapel #1 Cemetery,

under the direction of Picayune Funeral Home.

 

H. K., a lifetime resident of Pearl River County, was a carpenter

and a member of George Ford Baptist Church. 

He never met a stranger, loved to talk and people knew him

from the great stories he told. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

He was a U.S. Army Vietnam veteran.

 

He is survived by

his wife, Ann Kennedy Lewis of Carriere;

his mother, Valerie Lee Lewis of Carriere;

two sons, Virgil Dewayne Lewis and Larvie Kenyon Lewis both of Carriere;

one daughter, Mary Ellen Lewis of Carriere;

two brothers, Jerry Curtis Lewis of Carriere and Garland Lewis of Tennessee;

one sister, Mattie White of Carriere;

eight grandchildren, Sawyer Gipson, Cade Westbrook,

Carson Gipson, Blake Archer, Ava Lewis, Lyndi Lewis,

 Jake Lewis, and Aiden Archer.

 

He is preceded in death by

his father, Virgil Lewis.
