Margaret “Wootsie” Tate

Margaret “Wootsie” Tate, age 72, died June 9, 2006 in Picayune, Mississippi.

Services will be at Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Picayune, Mississippi

on Tuesday, June 13, 2006 at 10:00 a.m.    Rev. Arthur Lee will officiate at the service.

 

Margaret “Wootsie” Tate was a former Mississippi Senator and

a member of Mill Creek Baptist Church.

 

She is survived by her husband, Billy Tate of Picayune, MS.

 

One son, Timothy Tate of Picayune, MS.

 

Two daughters, Marietta Gatewood of Ellisville, Ms. and

Glyndon Toni Gray of Picayune, Mississippi

 

One sister, Mary Sue Stewart of Houston, Tx.

 

Nine grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

 

She is preceded in death by her daughter, Mary Virginia Tate.

Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
