Roy Mitchell Carney, Sr.

March 17, 1944 – December 30, 2006

Roy Mitchell Carney, Sr., age 62, passed away Saturday, December 30, 2006,

in Jackson, Mississippi.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, January 4, 2007, at 7 PM at

Picayune Funeral Home Chapel, with visitation starting at 6 PM.

Rev. Barry Lee will officiate at the service.

Mr. Carney, a resident of Carriere, was a used car dealer, a Baptist and

a member of the Knights of Phythians.

He is survived by:

two sons, Roy M. Carney, Jr., Picayune, MS,

and Michael Ray Carney, Necaise, MS;

two daughters, Deborah L. Johnson, Nicholson, MS

and Rhonda Carney Guillott, Carriere, MS;

two brothers, Billy and Enos,

five sisters, Lois, Edith, Hilda, Jeannie and Marion;

eight grandchildren;

and two great grandchildren.

H is preceded in death by:

his brother, Troy M. Carney

and his sister, Mae Schonwitz.
